DC residents may request to receive free naloxone by mail from the Opioid Learning Institute. Naloxone, also known as NARCAN®, is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. The Opioid Learning Institute, in partnership with DC Health, has developed the below Naloxone Training video. This video provides information on how to identify a known or suspected opioid overdose and how to use naloxone to reverse the effects of a potentially fatal overdose.

Step 2: After watching the video, click the “DC Free Naloxone” link in the video screen.
Step 3: Fill out the form and you’re all set!

The Opioid Learning Institute may contact you, using the mobile number and/or email address you provided at checkout, to:
- Determine if you have used naloxone in responding to an opioid overdose;
- Notify you when your naloxone is about to expire;

- Alert you to important Opioid Learning Institute news.
